GDUI is pleased to offer this 2006 Survey of Guide Dog Schools. Building on our previous survey, it is more comprehensive and concise, directly reflecting feedback from consumers and the schools themselves. All of the U.S. guide dog training programs were asked to participate and were sent a copy of this survey.
GDUI wishes to thank the 13 training programs that have participated in this survey. Blind or visually impaired persons seeking to find a good individual fit for their guide dog training will discover a wealth of helpful information here which can facilitate their decision-making process. In addition, the information shared in this survey offers an opportunity for learning about the various pertinent components to, and the variety of options involved in, guide dog training.
