Members of the board of GDUI will…
- Have a demonstrated commitment to uphold the values of the organization and its mission.
- Appreciate and recognize one another’s contributions to the organization.
- Lead by Example, by adhering to this code of conduct and policies against any form of discrimination or harassment of any kind.
- Strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all who carry out the mission of the organization.
- Advise the organization of any potential conflict of interests in carrying out the duties of a board member.
As a member of the board of Guide Dog Users, Inc., I agree to abide by the organization’s Commitment to Excellence, which requires board members to honor the Organization’s commitment to excellence in every phase of its programs. This means board members will treat each other, as well as GDUI members and friends, with dignity and respect at all times. This also means Board Members will communicate and act in a manner that does not make other individuals feel uncomfortable, and will respect one another’s opinions.
I have read, and agree to follow, the specific requirements listed for my position on the GDUI Board as listed in the GDUI Handbook for Board Members.
